Our Journey

Where It All Began

The School of Bharathakala was founded in 2004 to promote Bharatanatyam, one of India’s oldest and most sacred classical dance forms, taught in the Kalakshetra style. The mission of the school is to impart this divine art while instilling culture, discipline, and traditional values in every student.

The academy strives to present Bharatanatyam as a cultured, highly skilled, and aesthetically rich medium to express devotion to the divine. Through rigorous training, students are guided to connect mind, body, and soul, experiencing dance as a sacred sadhana rather than just a performance skill.

Each student receives individual attention and is encouraged to participate in the school’s dance productions and programmes. In the spirit of the classical tradition, dance here is viewed as a complete art form that unites music, expression, storytelling, and philosophy..

Our Mission

To preserve and propagate the ancient art of Bharatanatyam by providing world-class training that combines traditional guru-shishya parampara with modern teaching methodologies, nurturing each student's artistic journey with patience, precision, and passion.

Our Vision

To create a global community of skilled Bharatanatyam practitioners who carry forward this sacred art form with authenticity, grace, and innovation, becoming cultural ambassadors who inspire future generations.
